Evil could be defeated if more Christians had the courage to speak up and if far more chose to no longer drink from the cup of atheism, the Kool-Aid of Cultural Marxism and global Marxism.
“The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing,”
(Attributed to Edmond Burke)
We can learn by studying history. Where we are heading today is a place the human race has witnessed before.
All responsible citizens MUST make time to read about the rise of Hitler and the Nazis in the early1930’s, well before the killing started. The parallels to our current times are pretty frightening.
I recommend a book that is challenging for both Christians and non-Christians, which not only captures what happened in Germany during the 1930s but also relates it to our present time. This book not only exposes evil but also gives us hope as it puts forward suggestions of what must be done to not only avert another genocide but also to bring about a Christian revival.
'RELIGIONLESS CHRISTIANITY - God's Answer to Evil', written by Eric Metaxas (released in April 2024), is a book for every person who cares about our nation and the welfare of the human race, both now and for future generations.
Eric Metaxas’s book can inspire all people to stand up and address evil - And it is addressed to all churches. It is a sequel to Metaxas’ book ‘Letter to the American Church’, (released in September 2022), which was the centrepiece of FRIDAY RAVE 56 - ‘PROTECT YOUR FAMILY - Break the Spiral of Silence’
I encourage you to go back and read this Rave as it focuses on the damage done when people remain silent when faced with evil. An evil these days, which is a massive and cleverly orchestrated movement that has invaded many of the institutions of society with its sights on destroying Christianity and, with it, Western society.
The title “Religionless Christianity” comes from the writings of Dietrich Bonhoeffer, a German pastor, prophet, spy and martyr. For his resistance to Hitler, Bonhoeffer was hung in1945 within 3 weeks of the end of World War II.
The book exposes evil and the ramifications of being ignorant of its existence, or for remaining wilfully ignorant of its ramifications, or for attempting to appease it.
The book challenges those of the Christian faith, as well as entire Christian churches and other Christian institutions, which are masquerading as Christian when - instead of identifying themselves with a Christian biblical perspective - they are supporting a secular worldview.
The book challenges those who have not accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour. It strongly challenges those who, despite having accepted Christ as Lord and Saviour, choose to support religion, not faith in action. Too many Christians have forgotten that Jesus was no timid wuss/wimp, and it is arguable that he wants us to follow his model, especially in circumstances in which we find ourselves in the third decade of the twenty-first century.
(Matthew 21:12-13 - Jesus at the temple)
The book not only challenges Christians who lack the spine to speak up against evil but exposes the damage they are responsible for and how their silence can inadvertently support and promote hideous and dangerous behaviours - or allow them to perpetuate.
“He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.” (Martin Luther King Jr)
So much can be learned from the failure of the German Protestant churches to stand against the evils of Nazism. Churches did this by attempting to appease Hitler, foolishly believing they could compromise in such ways and still coexist with Nazi ideologies. How many lives could have been saved if the German church had opposed Hitler and the Nazis in the early 1930s?
Too many Christians today have been deceived by alternatives to gospel truth. They have turned their back on the Christian faith of the Bible, even worshipping religions that masquerade as Christianity. They have taken what is perceived as a path of least resistance, ostensibly tolerating and endorsing sinful behaviours that oppose God’s plan for mankind. This is both a sinful and foolish position unwisely aligning itself with movements (identifiably Marxist and otherwise hegemonic and misguided) such as:
The LGBTQIA+ (ever-expanding alphabet) Movement
The ‘Critical Race Theory’ movements such as Black Lives Matter and the defeated ‘Voice to Parliament’ in Australia.
The Globalist elite UN/WHO/WEF alliance and its quest for a godless One World Government (ie The religion of manmade climate change)
These movements are part of a perpetual hegemonic revolution that will never be satisfied until Christianity is destroyed … and, with it, Western civilisation.
"The civilised world has been thoroughly saturated with Christianity for 2000 years. Any country grounded in Christian values cannot be overthrown therefore, until those roots are cut, but to cut the roots, to change culture, a long march through the institutions is necessary. Only then will power fall into our laps like ripened fruit."
(Italian Communist Antonio Gramsci - recognised by some as the father of Cultural Marxism)
I conclude this Friday Rave with words from Eric Metaxas and a quote attributed to Dietrich Bonhoeffer challenging Christians of faith who lack action.
“The remarkable response to Letter to the American Church has given me tremendous hope that many in the American church are eager to repent of their ‘mission drift’ into ‘faith without works’ and ‘silence in the face of evil’ and to chart the biblical way forward. We have to understand what God wants us to do right now, before it’s too late,...”
“There is real hope and a reason to be excited about what lies ahead if we do what God asks of us. If we understand where we have gone wrong and rediscover our duty to live out our faith adventurously and fearlessly, God can not only turn things around but can use His people to change the world for His purposes in history.” (Eric Metaxas)
"Silence in the face of evil is itself evil: God will not hold us guiltless. Not to speak is to speak. Not to act is to act.”
(Attributed to Dietrich Bonhoeffer)
Let’s pray that the Lord will empower us to discern what’s really going on, perceive where we have gone wrong, see his way forward, and sense deeply how we should now choose, intend, and become proactive.
